In Kenya, the clothes that IOM provides to Somali, Ethiopian, Sudanese and Congolese #refugee women preparing to resettle to the US are made by refugee women themselves through the NGO Heshima Kenya’s Maisha Collective. Heshima Kenya provides protection to unaccompanied refugee minors and young refugee women without family support. These young women learn skills and earn an income by making hand dyed scarves and dresses. In 2013 about 500 women and girls will receive clothing and scarves made by the Maisha Collective.

Visit Heshima Kenya's website on http://www.heshimakenya.org/ and you can buy the scarves in their Etsy shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/HeshimaKenya
